Days of our Lives Matriarch, Frances Reid, Passes Away at Age 93
 It is with a very sad and heavy heart that Soapdom reports that veteran actress and beloved matriarch of the Horton clan, Frances Reid (Alice), passed away on February 3 at the age of 95.
Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, and raised in Berkley, California, Reid was stalwarth fixture in Salem and an original member of the Days of our Lives cast. Her character, Alice, was the glue that held the entire fictional town together.
